I know it's been so long since I posted. I've been spending my evenings super busy with making lots of shirts for Homer Davenport Days. I was going to do a little update post real quick, but Elijah just came in- "Are you done?", "Are you done?", "Are you done?" So, I think I'm done for now, and I'll post again as soon as I can. Another New Top!
I LOVE this one!! I wish I hadn't made it in Alexandra's size, because I'm so tempted to keep it. I really need to start building up an inventory to sell, though. I love this vintage "Holly Hobbie" print. I'm going to have to buy more of it- if I can find it.

"Hey you guuuuuuuys"
Sorry it's been so long folks. When we get back from trips that I want to post about, I just have so many pics that it seems too overwhelming to sit down, download all of the pics, edit them all, pick and resize the ones I want to post, write my blog, and post it. Aghhh. I'm a little exhausted just thinking about it. BUT, I can't delay forever- I want to keep this up for myself, but also for everyone else wanting updates on the goings on of the Newton household. So- I give you this:
Just this last weekend, we spent a few days in Astoria. On Friday, we left late (of course. is there any other way?), but we arrived at a decent time in Seaside for a pit stop. We walked the boardwalk & wandered on into the aquarium. Does anyone else know how tiny the seaside aquarium is? I had no idea. It's extremely small- just one room, and it's also really old, dingy and dirty. Despite that, the kids stilll loved it, and they're the ones who count. First thing up was a bowl full of seal food- some chopped up fish... yuuuuuummy. They loved throwing it to all of the seals, which I have to admit was quite cool. After a short trip around the rest of the room, we were back in the car to further our adventure. We continued on in to Astoria. Now, I must insert a little plug here for Holiday Inn Express. We have just recently discovered what great hotels they are. They are large rooms, big, toiletrie packed bathrooms, super-de-duper pool & spa, and very sleek and clean. Now, moving on... We boarded the trolly right outside our hotel, and rode it on down the the Rogue brewery for dinner. They gave a little tour while on the trolley, pointing out the Kindergarden Cop school, Goonies house (a highlight in Trav's life), and multiple other movie sights. Down at the brewery, I suppose that we should have mentioned to them that our son's name was Rogue. I suspect he would have walked away with something cool. As it was, he still walked away with a full tummy and a picture in front of the "Rogue" sign. And, back aboard the trolley to the hotel. Our family trip continued with swimming in the pool, browsing the shops, playing at the beach, riding a miniature train, checking out the Maritime Museum, climbing over 100 stairs to the top of the Astoria Column to throw airplanes off the top (we forget them the first trip up, and Trav ran all the way back down & up again- he didn't feel top notch for the rest of the day), exploring Fort Columbia, and the last day was spent goofing around at the coolest park ever! All in all it was a good family adventure.
