Droppin Like Flies

Eli's teeth are falling out like crazy! Number 6 bit the dust today after a run in with Rogue's head (don't worry- it was already loose, and Rogue's head survived the collision). Wednesday is a long overdue dentist appointment, and we'll see what the Dentist has to say about his monsterous teeth that are growing in as replacements. Two teeth have already filled up a 3-tooth parking spot, and I'm worried about where the third will crop up at. Wednesday's visit will also be Lexi's first time in the chair, and I don't know if any dentist could be prepared for her. I just hope they are up for the challenge and can make it exciting for her, because there's no way they'll be able to talk her into something she doesn't want to do. As for Rogue, the only problem he may present is his seemingly incapability to stop smiling. Although, I suppose he'd be okay, as long as he is capable of a REALLY big smile- his limits haven't really been put to the test before now. Mostly, they're all very excited though, so I'm not anticipating too many problems.
The boys' cycling is progressing nicely. By day number 2 of being training wheel- free, Rogue was already attempting jumps, and by the bike ride the next day, Eli was joining him. Lex has upgraded from her little trike, to Rogue's old one, but it generally only holds her interest for a few minutes before moving on to gravel-digging and flower-picking. With all of these nice days we've been having lately, those bike rides have become a daily occurance, and Lexi will be a pro in no time.
I REALLY wish I had a better memory- the kids all say "the darndest things" every day, and I think to myself, "I need to put that on the blog", then by the time I sit down here at the computer at night, I've completely forgotten what was so hilarious only a few hours earlier. Hopefully, I'll either be near a computer or at least a pen & paper next time, so I'm able to share.
Btw, I was able to get some family pictures taken the other day. Here are just a few:
Rogue Showing off his Karate Moves
Eli Getting his Guard on
The only pic I could get of Lex, because she was spinning around too fast all day. Yes, she's wearing her princess dress to Eli's bball game. She's just cool like that.

PhOtOg BlOg

Photography has lost a bit of its spark for me lately. I no longer cart around my camera wherever I go. I often miss beautiful photographic opportunities because of this. I also have no pictures to show for last night's bicycle ride, during which both Eli and Rogue finally conquered the "2-wheel bike" foe. It's really disappointing, and I want to get back to what I used to have. I originally started "Lisa Marie Photography" in an attempt to bring in a little income that would pay for the camera and photographic equipment I wanted to aquire. Why not get paid for something I love to do? Well, because when you turn it into a business, it becomes work. I spend so much "free time" editing pictures for other people, that I hesitate to add my own hobby picture-taking into the queue. Several photoshoots and a couple of weddings later, I am hanging up my LMP hat. That's not to say that I won't do the occassional photoshoot, especially when someone has a fun, unique concept, but all in all, it's turned out not to be my cup of tea. I have spent so many hours editing wedding pictures lately. Every free moment has been devoted to them, and as soon as I am done, I am done. Today, it is a beautiful day. Rogue has karate, and Eli has basketball. Today, for the first time in a long time, I'm going to take pictures just for me. Nature, architecture, children....

Having Issues

Ugh! Our modem is being temperamental at the moment, and until I can get it the therapy it needs, I only have occasional internet access via my parents' house. So, now that I am finally back to blogging, I may be down and out for a few more days, until I can get it all figured out....

Moving On...

... to bigger and better things. Despite our original plan to stay put for at least a couple more years, we are going to be making a change. We're not going far, though. Some friends that live just a few streets away are moving, and since their place is bigger, cheaper, and on a desirable dead end street, we jumped at the chance to claim the house. So, in a few weeks, we will be in a new house, where all of the kids will have their own room. Eli is very excited about this fact, and chose for me to give up having a craft room in order to provide him with his own space, since his brother and sister are "alway getting into [his] stuff". I attempted to bribe him, but he was not to be swayed from his decision. As much as I hate moving, I am excited for the opportunity to pull everything out and rethink some of our organization ideas that clearly didn't work the last time around. Plus, I GET A PANTRY AGAIN! Our last house had one, and I've missed it desperately (well, perhaps "desperately" is going a little overboard, but I did miss it quite a bit).
In other news, all kids have had birthdays since I posted last, so they are now 3, 5, and 7. Lexi is a "Miss Independent", self-proclaimed "butterfly princess", Rogue is a karate-chopping, bakugan-loving, way-too-happy-to-be-normal kid, and Eli is becoming more self-reliant, responsible, and toothless every day. There is still a heathly dose sibling bickering going on, but overall, they're a pretty fun-loving bunch (which I have been too busy to appriciate lately :( We are in serious need of some fun outings together).
Hmmm.... In celebration of my return to all things "blog", I think mine is in need of a revamp. It's on my "to do" list for the weekend.

That's {NOT} What Blogs Are For

It's been a long time, I know. I have a multitude of excuses for my long hiatus, but I think I'll just skip it and jump right back in.
Today is not going to be full of updates, though. Something happened recently that is driving me up the wall, and I just have to vent so I can move on. I prefer to avoid confrontation, and therefore tend to bite my tongue instead of speaking my mind- not today....

{Okay, so I wrote my whole rant, then couldn't bring myself to post it. Agh- I just can't stand the idea of possibly hurting other people's feelings, even if they don't care about mine or (especially in this case) those of my friends. The point is, I'm a big girl, and I can take care of myself. So can "Ginger" (name changed to protect the COMPLETELY INNOCENT). If you can't accept that and stop judging me (and anything/anyone I may blog about), then stay off my blogs. Thank you.}
