"I've Got a Booger on my Face"

... apparently, that's the real name of Lady Gaga's hit "Poker Face". The kids were asking who sang each song when it came on the radio, so Lexi already knew the artist's name by the time the song reached the chorus, afterwhich she asked, "Mom, why does Lady Gaga say, 'I've got a booger on my face?' " Hmmm.... not sure, but that MAY not be the right words....

Earlier in the day, she said something that I thought I'd share just to give you a little sampling of her daily gab:

{After an already long conversation about her friends at school}

Lex: Grandpa Heiner is my good friend.

Me: That's good. I'm glad he's your friend.

Lex: Yeah, but... he doesn't go to my school, because he's not a little kid.

Me: You're right. He's not, is he?

Lex: No, but I'm a little kid.

Me: Yes you are.

Lex: I'm a girl.

Me: That's right, you are.

Lex: You and me are girls.

Me: Yep.

Lex: Girls wear dresses. You and me wear dresses.

Me: Yes, honey, we do.

Lex: Dads and brothers don't wear dresses....

Me: Well, I certainly hope not.

Later, when Travis was wrestling with the kids, and Lexi & I were taking a break on the couch. She took my face between her hands, and said very seriously, "Mom, you stay here and be safe. I'm going to go fight, but you stay here and keep safe, okay? I'll protect you." {By the way, she is a very dirty fighter. Trav was scared of her.}
